It was beautiful evening at one of our favorite places to watch elk feeding on the tall grass on a floodplain of the Snoqualmie River in front of Big Si. As the elk drifted into the woods, the sun lowered in the sky, casting an exceptional golden hue over everything, causing me to wonder, “Who created beauty?“. Mount Si stood unshakeable, steady, reliable, calming my soul.
